The Kent’s Christmas Family Session at Belle Oaks Barn

Can you believe it’s almost Christmas?! As I write this blog post, there are five more days until my favorite holiday. Around this time of year, we are so thankful for the opportunity to take Christmas photos/film. I love when we see them used as Christmas Cards. Now that their cards are on the way out to friends and family, I can finally show you my favorite pictures from their session…

Back in November, Lean inquired that she wanted to do a Christmas styled family session. She wanted to keep it simple and take them on a pathway so their festive outfits stood out. We immediately thought of Brooker, FL’s wedding and event venue, Belle Oaks Barn.

In December, I met up with the Kent Family at Belle Oaks Barn for the sweetest family session! Once I was formally introduced to their almost one year old Carter, we started the session off on a pathway that was near the barn. The day was overcast so it allowed us to shoot from any angle, plus it gives off the right winter vibes we were going for. Then, we moved toward the barn and got some really nice shots with the red vintage truck that always sits on the property. It is surrounded by beautiful trees which allowed me to get some great shots of the family!

I love the way Lean styled her family for their session. They coordinated so perfectly with colors of green, camel brown, ivory and a hint of red from the plaid blanket/scarf. Finding the right outfits can be so overwhelming, especially when you are styling more than one person. Photographing the Kents is always a pleasure. We have captured their engagement session, wedding, maternity and now their family photos. All these precious memories will be relived year after year and will…never fade.
