This was our first wedding at C-Bar Ranch in Alachua, Florida. It is a family owned and operated farm and events venue. This property is great for the Bride who wants a rustic yet elegant wedding theme. The dark stained barn sits in front of a pond and is surrounded by trees. There are brick pathways from the parking lot so guests are led to the ceremony and reception area. There is a nice size cocktail hour area to the right of the barn under a big size oak tree, beautiful string lights and a fire pit keeping the space lit after dark. The reception hall is a big enough space for a large guest list with plenty of room to dance. I love how the space can be arranged in different ways, giving the Bride options when it comes to setting up.
The Carlton’s had a rustic wedding theme with cinnamon, grey and accents of white as their color scheme. They kept the ceremony simple, with folding chairs facing an alter that was on the dock and white fabric draped on the arch.
Prior to the wedding day, we always contact the Bride and the Maid of Honor (MOH) in regards to the details she wants photographed and filmed. This is one of the times the MOH can be useful on the day of. In this case, Gracie was Savannah’s MOH. She was extremely helpful to us and the Bride by making sure all the details were in a protective box and ready to be photographed and filmed by the time we arrived. This is one step the Bride doesn’t have to worry about as she is getting ready.
Savannah’s details were the dress, rings, bridal bouquet, wedding sandals, jewelry and the garter. Keeping her rustic wedding theme in mind, we knew C-Bar Barn was the perfect backdrop.
Helpful Tip For Future Brides: Compliment your wedding gown by purchasing a custom hanger. We recommend on Etsy. They carry white and stained wooden hangers with personalized name being added on each. Never Fade recommend Happily Chic Designs. They have great customer service and is run by my husband and wife in Florida! Use code NeverFade20 at checkout!
Zachary, the Groom, wore a grape soda pin inside of his suit from the Pixar film “UP”. It’s the couple’s favorite movie and the love the characters Carl and Ellie had for one another spoke volumes to the Carltons. So much so, that Savannah walked down the aisle to the song Married Life from the movie soundtrack.
The Carlton’s ceremony was quite intimate. Due to the pandemic of the coronavirus, the couple wasn’t able to share their special day with all of their guests. They were able to live stream their ceremony so those not able to attend could still be present. Isn’t technology amazing and useful for times like these?!
One of my favorite moments of the ceremony was when the Zachary saw his Bride for the very first time! It was a moment I was grateful to capture. Another special moment was during the Lord’s Supper. The couple had a family friend sing during that time.
Their Bride and Groom Portraits was a few minutes before sunset, which was perfect because the C-Bar Ranch venue has the best lighting during this time! We started off taking photos along a brick pathway near the barn and worked our way further out to the silo that was in the middle of the open field. The lighting was so beautiful in that area that we took the rest of their photos there.
Take a look…
Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Carlton! C-Bar Ranch was the perfect location for their special day. It fit their personalities and style wonderfully. Their love story was on full display, with loved ones, family and friends all present. From the location and decor, to the food and music, being a part of this celebration was an honor and privilege. Our hope is that God blesses Zachary and Savannah as they begin their lives together as husband and wife.
